From Yves Saint Laurent's couture homages to Mondrian, Matisse and Braque to Yayoi Kusama's dotty collection and shop environments for Louis Vuitton, high fashion and fine art have long been entangled. It's a mutual admiration club you can wear on your body -- if you can afford it -- that raises the concept of wearable art to a haute level.
Denver designer Stephanie Ohnmacht followed in that time-honored trend's footsteps to design her Clyfford Still-inspired spring collection; tomorrow night, she'll show off the pieces during Still in Fashion, a fashion show and party from 6 to 9 p.m. among the artworks at the Still Museum.
How does Ohnmacht's collection compare? You'll have to go to find out. Following is a look at the chi-chi competition.
