We were able to go deeper into topics. Weve always gotten excellent positive feedback; the teenagers whove seen it feel really reflected in the play, their experiences are validated, notes Ray. What this new show portrays that wasnt in the last two shows is romance, positive sexual experience, adult mentors that help teens heal from difficult experiences and empower them, involved parents, more references to the medias influence on teen sexuality and expression. There are some dark moments, but they offer glimpses of positive resolutions.
