Skateboarding legend
Stacy Peralta came to Auraria on Monday, where he talked about movie-making, skateboarding and politics, telling the crowd, "When parents tell me their kids are skateboarders, I tell them, sorry, your kids are Democrats."
But Milton puts the brakes on that:
He writes:
That headline couldn't be more wrong. I know a group of skaters who are as right wing and conservative as Dubya. They are all rednecks, but hey... still republicans. What a silly statement by Peralta.
Whether the skateboarder is a Republican or Democrat, is skateboarding itself a small D democratic sport?
