National skate and BMX champs will converge on the Brian Aragon Skate Park in Brighton today for Guilty by Association, which celebrates the positive impact of action sports on younger riders. The free event will showcase the talents of skate and BMX legends Christian Hosoi and Vic Murphy and current greats like Josiah Gatlyn and Brian Sumner while focusing on the riders’ triumphs over personal hardships.

“Some of these guys have been on top of the skating world but have also hit rock bottom,” says organizer Paul Boutan. The day will give young action-sports enthusiasts a chance to meet with the pros and hear their stories.

My Children My Bride and At the Forefront will play a free concert during the day, and there will be trick contests and skateboard and gear giveaways throughout from BC Surf & Sport, Never Summer and more.
