"I wanted to do something tangible to help my daughter's public school, which is facing a $120,000 budget shortfall next year," Brennan says. "I came up in the U.S. public-school system, and I'm still a believer in it. Is it frustrating to have to privately fund a public school? Of course. But I blame it on the anti-union, anti-government, deregulation-at-all-costs ethos that started with a vengeance under Reagan. Yeah, I blame Reagan and anyone who thought he was a good president."
Spoken like a true punk-rock dad.
