Lo and behold: The blessed union between sneaker geeks and snow sports aficionados has finally hit the honeymoon hotness in Saturday's Shoe Shine 4.0 Winter Sports Edition exhibit at Andenken Gallery.

Since the snow boot is Colorado's winter sneaker of choice, the shindig (hosted by PULSEarts) is going down as part of the S.I.A. festivities and coincides with the release of rider Danny Kass's new space-themed boot. Which, judging by his last pair of seventies-inspired custom boots (pictured at right), are going to kick major ass.

The exhibit also showcases a plethora of custom Nike ZF-1 boots designed by the freshest local artists, live painting, custom boards and, of course, free swag. And looking at all those kicks will probably make you want to move yours, Brooklyn-based DJ Jasmine Solano and company will be providing tuNenage into the wee hours.

PULSEarts Show Shine 4.0 Winter Edition Exhibit Andenken Gallery Saturday, January 30th, 7 p.m. $7/$10 day of show (get 'em here)

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
