Snowboarder Kelly Clark rode away with first place and the $10,000 prize at the 3rd Annual CoverGirl Snow Angels Invitational this weekend, hosted by Aspenite Gretcen Bleiler in the superpipe at Snowmass.

Clark beat out Ursina Holler (Switzerland), Soko Yamaoka (Japan), Paulina Ligocka (Poland), and Bleiler for the win, and also picked up an additional $2,500 Barbie Style Award for a double stiffy on the first hit of her winning run in the superpipe. CoverGirl? Barbie? The times, they are a changin'.

Locals rooting for 15 year-old Maddy Shaffrick had something to cheer about, too: For the second year in a row the young rider from Steamboat Springs won Most Progressive Rider honors and the Best Trick prize, this time for her Haakon Flip, an inverted 720 named for snowboard legend Terje Haakonsen.
