Yeah, yeah, I know it's not even Labor Day yet. But Denver schools are back in session this week, and as far as I'm concerned that means Summer's over. Which, of course, means it's time to start thinking about snowboarding.

If you're right there with me, check out Woodward at Copper's Open House on Saturday at 4:30pm for 50 percent off on all public sessions in "the Barn" and an opportunity to sign up for Fall classes to get back in shape for ski season, working out over the trampolines, foam pits, and Snowflex terrain parks. Those double corks aren't just going to learn themselves. Via WoodwardAtCopper.com:

Woodward at Copper is hosting an Open House House on Saturday August 21, 2010.  Come do a One Hit Wonder for $30, Drop In Session for $15, or Skate all day for only $5. That's 50% off the regular price!

You can also sign up for our upcoming Fall Classes. More information is available on the Fall Classes page

If you have never been to the Barn come between 4:30pm-5:30pm to check out the facility and since we are "powered by Chipotle," pick up some Chipotle two for one burrito cards or free chips and guacamole cards.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
