For those who prefer to start their day with a couple rounds of downward-facing dog and warrior poses instead of brunch with eggs Benedict and bloody Marys, this weekend’s two big yoga festivals should prove to be mighty enlightening.

The Yoga Rocks! Mountain Fest begins at 7 a.m. today at Planet Bluegrass, 500 West Main Street in Lyons, and continues through Sunday evening with more than twenty live musical acts, a film tent, organic food, children’s activities and an abundance of yoga and meditation workshops, including a special two-hour workshop by yoga-instructor-to-the-stars and keynote speaker Seane Corn. Tickets are $125 for a single day or $195 for the weekend. Proceeds from the festival go to Colorado-based nonprofit Yoga World Reach. For information and tickets, visit www.yogarocks.info.

In the midst of the DNC hoopla, the Denver Yoga and Health Festival begins tomorrow and runs through Monday in the Minsuk Cho Pavilion at City Park. The festival features a number of free lectures, concerts and demonstrations, and for $88 you can snag a VIP pass that includes preferred seating and access to all events, including a Health Policy Forum with Russell Simmons, a VH1 benefit concert and another workshop with Seane Corn.
