But the fair celebrates an array of other foods, too, along with emerging trends in what local restaurants are serving. And then there’s the massive pop-up marketplace, with dozens of merchant booths and kitchen-, education- and nature-oriented demonstrations, plus six stages of live music: This year’s entertainment includes traditional Bavarian folk music, the Pointer Sisters, Lou Gramm, the Spin Doctors and G. Love & Special Sauce. There will also be carnival rides, magicians and storytelling for the kids, and a new zip line for adults to complement the popular bungee jump and human hamster balls.
