Outdoor Divas, the Boulder store specializing in funwear for women who camp, paddle, bike, board, strike perfect yoga poses, scale big boulders and adventure-race has teamed up with Savory Spice Shop to host a free outdoor cuisine cooking class tonight at 7 p.m. The demonstration, part of the shop’s Evening With Divas series, will concentrate on adding verve and spice to ordinary campfire cooking, says Outdoor Divas owner Kim Walker. “We wanted to do a campfire cooking class, because it’s a great way to gear up for the summer, and there’s no one better than the people at Savory Spice Shop to give us new and fresh ideas for cooking great food,” says Walker, who adds that the class will focus on cooking on a Jetboil camping stove, using dehydrated vegetables and adding flavor to the mundane without shoving your whole pantry into a backpack.

In between sampling dishes and camping beverages, like beer, you can also shop. Walker notes that 10 percent of all sales in the store tonight will be donated to Outward Bound. Reservations aren’t required, but if you want more info, call 303-449-3482 or click on The store is at 1133 Pearl Street in Boulder.
