It’s getting hard these days to tell one cirque from another, but the French Canadian circus Cirque Éloize has a pedigree that’s taken it all the way to Broadway. It all points back to a lasting partnership with acrobatic troupe Teatro Sunil and its founder, Daniele Finzi Pasca, a multi-talented director, writer, choreographer and clown whose poetic Sky Trilogy, an eight-year project, melds the circus arts into eye-popping yet soulful entertainment (Pasca also designed Corteo for Cirque du Soleil and parts of the 2006 Olympic Winter Games closing ceremony in Turin).

Nebbia (Italian for “fog”), the trilogy’s topper after Nomade and Broadway’s Rain, arrives in Denver on April 28 and 29 for a two-night run at the Buell Theatre in the Denver Performing Arts Complex, with more than a few elegant trapeze artists, acrobats, jugglers and clowns in tow for a show that’s nothing less than magical.
