Loosely shaped by Dante's Inferno, 9 Circles -- the tale of a soldier on trial for war crimes, now in production at Curious Theatre Company -- "is clear-eyed, tightly written and tough-minded," says Westword theater critic Juliet Wittman. "It is also filled with grace." As part of its audience-enrichment program, Curious will present Voices from the Front Lines, a collection of readings and performances that pair with 9 Circles, tonight at 6 p.m. at the Central Public Library, 10 West 14th Avenue Parkway.

Members of the theater troupe will read from Siobhan Fallon's stories of her experience as the wife of an Iraq War veteran, as well as from Army nurse Anna Stull's fiction. "Our belief is that theater should make people think about the world we live in," says Curious producer Christy Montour-Larson.

Curious has partnered with the Denver Public Library, Stories on Stage and the Lighthouse Writers Workshop to present the evening, which will conclude with an informal audience discussion. This program is free, but reservations are encouraged; go to www.denverlibrary.org/fresh or call 720-865-1206.
