“Having a music performance of any kind in a museum is fairly standard,” says MCA visitor services manager Andy Lynes, “while going to a museum on a Friday night to get your pants hemmed in a social setting is very weird. Combine the two, and you have people come for the music part and have an extremely memorable experience.”
The weekly Black Sheep Friday event has been ticking along at the MCA since October, with three more evenings on deck, including a Cosby Con Jell-O shots and sweater contest, a What Would Jason Do? Friday the 13th pub quiz and the XXXmas Craft Fair, where attendees can make pasties and erotic holiday cookies.
Tonight's pants-hemming event begins at 5 p.m. at the MCA, 1485 Delgany Street. The event is free for teens, children and MCA members, $5 for everyone else. For information, visit mcadenver.org.
