But in spite of the busy variety of mediums and styles being displayed, the artists became aware of a kind of interlocking artistic Gestalt -- a patchwork of subtle differences and similarities -- at work as they hung the show.
The shapes in Terri Bell's Japanese-flavored mixed media echo the geometric contours of Meg Voigt-Meersman's oils, while Lokken Liane's bright watercolors bounce off the weathered pastel and jewel-toned hues of Katie Hoffman's paintings.
