Ten Best Fashion Events in Denver in Early December

It's December, which means you might want to stay inside and keep warm and cozy as the snow falls outside. But don't get too comfortable, because this month's fashion calendar includes everything from fashion blogger meet-ups to fashion shows, camps and trucks. Here are ten of the best fashion events this month, in chronological order. 

1) Denver Style Magazine Contributor Night

Denver Style Magazine is rolling out a new blog contributor program for 2016 at this fun, informative event that promises wine, food and, most important, networking. Click here to reserve your spot. 
2) Bad News Babes Social 
5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, December 4

Businesswoman Tran Wills is hosting this event dedicated to empowering women by sharing the stories of strong females — specifically strong female business owners. The panel will share their stories — good and bad — with the crowd and also take questions from the audience. 3) First Annual Rescue Runway Fashion Show and Silent Auction
 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, December 4
Pinehurst Country Club

The non-profit Furry Little World, which is dedicated to helping rescue animals and orphaned animals find permanent homes, is hosting its first Rescue Runway. The fashion show will feature Denver’s top models walking adoptable animals down the runway, in hopes of finding a family for the animals — just in time for the holidays. All runway pieces for the models are being created by fashion design students at the Art Institute of Colorado, and you can also purchase Christmas gifts at a silent auction. 4) Fashion Denver Fashion Camp
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 5

This round of Fashion Denver's fashion camp for kids is based on eco-fashion; kids will create their own dress, skirt and even accessories from an old T-shirt, with no sewing required. They can learn what it's like to be a fashion designer from Colorado eco-designer Deb Henriksen of Equilibrium, while Saraphina Mesmer will help students repurpose clothes in a fun way. 5) Fashion Film

Whorl, the LoHi womenswear boutique, will screen the classic Breakfast at Tiffany's; enjoy snacks, martinis and pastries as you draw inspiration from the film and shop at Whorl, of course. Tiffany Josephs is the sponsor for the evening and will spoil a lucky few with fabulous door prizes. 6) Rina Limor Personal Appearance and Trunk Show

Head to the precious jewels salon at Nordstrom in Cherry Creek to meet famed jewelry designer Rina Limor, and shop her latest collection of luxe baubles. Limor, who is based in New York and established her line in 1976, has traveled to Italy to source materials, and gained inspiration for her designer line, Rina Limor Fine Jewelry, from Fellini's film La Dolce Vita. Denver Style Magazine holds gatherings regularly, but this time it's inviting special friends to celebrate the holidays. At this community holiday market, you can mix, mingle, shop from over thirty local vendors, make something special in the DIY room, sip on cider, and even take a selfie with Santa. 9) Colorado Fashion Week Holiday Market and Fashion Show

Colorado Fashion Week aims to build an economically sustainable fashion industry in Denver. Justice K Kwarteng was inspired by Fern Mallis and her collaborative vision for New York Fashion Week, and she founded Colorado Fashion Week to focus on fashion, design, beauty and art. For this show, CFW is working closely with top local designers, promising fashion students, and national and international fashion brands to showcase their collections on Colorado runways; it also shines a spotlight on makeup artists and hairstylists.There will also be highly curated ready-to-wear pop-up shops and fashion markets. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets. 

10) Underrated Barber Championship

Men of Denver should swing by the Exdo Event Center to get a fresh haircut and check out the local barber scene.
