The Body Examined

Opening tonight and continuing through Sunday (with an additional date on December 1) at the Dairy Center for the Arts, Boulder's Evolving Doors Dance Project presents Flawless, an intricate look at the human body and all its imperfections. Choreographed by Angie Simmons, the eclectic performance offers a creative view of societal opinions about the human form.

The show promises an interesting look into our own preconceived notions of what we find to be aesthetically pleasing — or grotesque — and why; it includes a film collaboration with Robin Hammer, who projects various images upon the dancers. An informal Q&A with the dancers and choreographer will take place after each performance. Note: Flawless contains adult themes and nudity, and may not be appropriate for children.

Tickets ($15 general admission, $12 for students and seniors) are available at 303-444-7328, or the Dairy Center box office, 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder.
Nov. 16-17, 8 p.m.; Nov. 30-Dec. 1, 8 p.m., 2007
