Thursday, June 21 Do at the Zoo The annual benefit for the Denver Zoo is always a see-and-be-seen kind of event, with everyone is decked out in their summer finest. Denver’s other half is ready to meet, mingle – and imbibe. Plus, this year the zoo’s elephants will be out painting to raise funds for a new habitat.

Friday, June 22 Chaussures Artist Viviane Le Courtois is hosting a conceptual installation featuring 102 pairs of shoes that she has made over the past sixteen years – and worn across thirty countries. There will also be a video titled Pair 100 that documents Le Courtois walking through Colorado and Utah. This is the inaugural exhibit in the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design’s new video art gallery, The Cloakroom. The opening is tonight, but the exhibit runs through July 21.

Friday, June 22 Handmade at Fancy Tiger Help Fancy Tiger kick off its newest adventure – third Friday craft fairs. Local and national crafters will be on hand to sell their wares, eat cupcakes and get down with the DJs. This month, Erin Originals will be on hand from London, as will She’s Crafty.

Saturday, June 23 Afroblu

Afroblu is a monthly after-hours dance ritual that is produced and hosted by Peju Alawusa and Ashara Ekundayo. It celebrates love, life and African culture through AfroBeat, deep house, NuSoul and other music and performances. Resident DJs: Musa Bailey, Segue and Matthew Bandy. “At Afroblu, we dance! we perform! and we groove! / You will feel the music in your heart / in your spirit / in your body and in your soul! Don't Front, Just Dance! and feel the spirit move through you at this After-Hours Dance Ritual. Come get jiggy.”
