They Called It Murder

Sleuths, grab your magnifying glass and a beer and get ready to solve Denver’s latest murder mystery. At today’s Murder on Broadway: Mystery & Scavenger Hunt, you can bar-crawl on South Broadway while deducing whodunit. The interactive mystery begins with registration from 3 to 3:30 p.m. at 3 Kings Tavern, 60 South Broadway; for $5 per participant (teams of four to six people are encouraged), you’ll get access to important information about the murder, including a list of suspects and clues as to where along Broadway to find them. Even better, you’ll be entered in a raffle and eligible for some great prizes to be handed out at 6 p.m., when the murderer is revealed. The three quickest teams to correctly solve the mystery will also win big prize packages donated from local restaurants and shops.

If your detective skills suck, don’t fret: With a little extra money, you can grease up the suspects and street informants for more information or indulge in a few extra drinks from the list of specials offered by participating venues along Broadway. All proceeds benefit Metro Denver Promotion of Letters, a new nonprofit dedicated to teaching kids writing in fun and creative ways. You must be 21 or older to participate; for more information, visit
