"It's kind of like a live B-movie," explains Michelle Scheffer (aka Fanny Fitztightlee). She's talking about Ooh La La Presents Decades: A Timeline of Tease, her show co-produced with Kitty Crimson that covers more than a century's worth of sexiness. Starting with 1900, Scheffer says, they've coordinated two or three acts per decade, including "everything from flappers to go-go girls," she promises. "Some of the guys are doing a mobster act. There's a military act, a surfer-girl act, a roller-skating act for the '50s, and for the '80s, we're doing a cheesy aerobics thing and the guys are doing 'Shout at the Devil.'"
Obviously, it won't just be women shaking their stuff up on stage; Decades will include about eight men in a cast of 23. And the songs won't all be old-school, either: "We like to use a lot of new music and switch it up, keep our audience guessing," says Scheffer.
"We're campy and fun, and we try to make fun of ourselves," she continues. "This show is actually different from a lot of our shows because we have a lot of group acts and a lot of choreographed numbers, but we still try to be silly."
