More weekend stoke after the jump...
Money, money, money! When Joe and Gavin Maloof (owners of the Sacramento Kings NBA team and the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, among other holdings) took an interest in skateboarding four years ago, they brought their checkbooks with them to make The Maloof Money Cup into the single biggest payday in the sport. This year it's grown into a four-stop tour, with events in California, New York, South Africa, and Washington, D.C., plus the new Maloof Road Tour, which kicks off here in Denver on Saturday. The Maloofs and 303 Boards will be presenting Mini Ramp and Best Trick contests at the 303 Boards warehouse, 955 Decatur Street, starting at 3 p.m. Wipeout! The Trestle Bike Park at Winter Park (our 2011 Best of Denver pick for Best Mountain Bike Park) has something for riders of all ages and ability levels, if by "something" you mean "something humbling." Tired of getting your ass handed to you? Try the Freeride Camps and Gravity Goddess Downhill Camps on Saturday: The six-hour sessions start at $99 or $149 for a full package with bike, full-face helmet, and leg and arm protection rentals.
