Need to burn off some steam, get the blood flowing and relax your mind after the 9/11 weekend? We totally understand, and so does Yoga at the Rocks; the organization is hosting a full-moon yoga class tonight at -- where else? -- Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Bring your yoga mat, some water, a light jacket, perhaps a headlamp and definitely a friend or two for what's bound to be an experience unlike anything you've experienced this summer, or maybe ever.
It starts at 9 p.m. and runs till 10:30; head to the stage (or the homegrown market east of the stage) for this donation-based, team-taught Vinyasa-style class, with elements of Anusara and community/partner-based yoga in the mix. A percentage of donations will benefit Yoga for the People; sign up and learn more on the event Facebook page. Om shanti shanti -- and look out for falling rocks!
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
