The fest, says publicist Emily Kleinburd, lets Chipotle bring its gospel to the people in a way that’s as fun as the food it serves. “For a free event, Cultivate has a lot to offer,” Kleinburd notes. “Music, cooking demos and new Chipotle options not available in Denver.” That would include tastes of Chipotle’s tofu Sofritas tacos, now sold only in limited markets, and Cultivate Farmhouse Ale, Great Divide’s limited-edition beer created just for this event.
But there’s also an educational element to the fest, which pushes the move to more sustainable and locally sourced foods through a series of chef demonstrations and learning stations (where you can also pick up a Chipotle coupon for your trouble). And, of course, there’s the aforementioned live music, featuring a mixture of local and national names, including Blitzen Trapper, Air Dubai and Cold War Kids — all gratis.
“It offers so many different opportunities to try new things,” Kleinburd adds. “We’ll have a large selection of breweries there, the Sofritas tacos are getting good reviews, and I can tell you, I’ve tasted the ale, and I’d go just for that.”
