Tonight, stalwart local DJ Nutmeg presents "Off the Wagon" at Funky Buddha. Nutmeg and guest DJs encourage you to fall off the wagon and "ditch those pesky New Year's resolutions for a night of rug cutting techno." Sounds like our kind of party. (No cover, 21+)

Formerly one half of the progressive house duo Deep Dish, Sharam plays Beta on Saturday night. Deep Dish strayed from the housey sound of 1998's Junk Science, long before their ostensibly temporary breakup in 2006, and Sharam's set will likely be more along the lines of Deadmau5 than Danny Tenaglia. Expect a large turnout for the Grammy Award-winning remixer. ($15, 18+)
