So, the Fourth of July falls on a Monday this year, but that doesn't stop the celebrations from starting early this weekend. There's tons of shows this weekend, beginning with Tech N9NE tonight at the Fillmore. Tech's been on a constant grind, and shows no signs of stopping. Read our interview with the Kansas City rapper, and then catch his show at the Fillmore. (All ages, 8 p.m. doors, $44.70).

Also tonight, Jerry Joseph & the Jackmormons take over the Bluebird Theater with Sam Holt & Friends. The Northwestern jammy bluesman and his crew of skilled musicians bring a stimulating live sound to the stage, with decades' worth of Joseph's compositions. (16 & up, 8 p.m. doors, $12.25-15).

Saturday, if you missed Friday's sold out Lotus show at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, you get a second chance to catch the crew at Red Rocks tonight. Along with co-headliners The Glitch Mob plus MiMOSA, The New Deal and Com Truise, this outdoor rager will surely keep you dancing under the stars for what is looking like a pretty warm Colorado evening. (All ages, 5:30 p.m. doors, $47.35).

Also this evening, the Larimer Lounge host's Nyota's show and video release for "Savage Orb." The local ambient vibers (formerly known as Constellations) will play alongside a diverse line-up of other excellent hometowners, including Vitamins, Married In Berdichev and Hollagramz. (21 & up, 8 p.m. doors, $8).

Sunday, Red Rocks will again be throwing down a great Fourth of July primer with Umphrey's McGee, Easy Star All Stars and The New Master Sounds. Lights and sounds will again be in full effect, as this varying line-up of blues, funk and rock acts no doubt take advantage of the beautiful venue. (All ages, 6:30 p.m. doors, $48.50).

If you're looking to stay in the city, start with Sushi Hai, where DJ Low Key will be spinning the What's The 411? '90s R&B throwback shindig from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Jet Hotel will be home to Fly Magazine's Flashing Lights, a swanky party with KDJ Above on the decks, while La Rumba becomes Ménage à trois, a night of music provided by DJ Top Shelf and hosted by NFL superstars LenDale White and Jarvis Moss. All parties are twenty one and up.
