After its date at the Mile High Music Festival at the end of July, the Photo Atlas will reportedly be heading out to Baltimore for two weeks to record with the legendary J. Robbins. For the uninitiated, Robbins is an icon from the D.C. hardcore scene on par with guys like Ian MacKaye. Besides playing in bands like Government Issue, Jawbox and Burning Airlines, he's recorded a slew of bands, including Jets to Brazil, Shiner, Jawbreaker and Against Me!. Like we said, dude's a legend. And here's the best part: Robbins is the one who reached out to Andrews and company, saying he's a fan of their music and is eager to work with them. Imagine trying to wrap your head around that one. -- Dave Herrera
