Friday night is Basic Rhythm at Sugar House. Just Ben from Whomp Truck headlines the event with other locals, including DJ Matty vs. Just Al, Joshua Red, DJJD, Shapeshifter and Shaggy. Sugar House played host to a few different dance music events recently; this one will be more bass-heavy. ($5, 21+)

One of the biggest parties of the year, the Sixth Annual Glo Mega Massive, takes place Saturday night at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds. W&W from the Netherlands headlines with Steve Smooth, Jon Bishop, Reid Speed, Barry Weaver and DJ Venom, with local support from Manufactured Superstars, Dragon and Trajikk. Don't forget to grab your free glow sticks. ($40-$100, all ages)

United Dub Edition, Saturday night at the Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins, features Superstar DJ Keoki performing a special dubstep and glitch set. The party monster will be supported by some of Fort Collins' finest local DJs, including Frederick Gentry, DJ Juggernaut and Greg Allyn. ($15-$20, all ages)

Last but not least, Winterfresh, Saturday night at miniBar: DJs Brick Lee, Beekay and Styles Davis inject Cherry Creek with a much-needed shot of legit dance music. Genres will include funk, soul, house, tech-house and breakbeat. One-dollar beers will wet your whistle on the cheap. (No cover, 21+)
