"The door guys said they really loved me and were excited to have me come back," she says. "It didn't even seem like the staff knew. No one alluded to stopping concerts, I mean, they kept saying, 'We're going to have you back.'
"I thought, 'Oh, yeah, I'll book a show here again in August or September.'"

Road 34, a bar and bike shop right outside the Colorado State University campus has been a staple venue for local bands since it opened in 2006, but yesterday it announced that it had canceled all scheduled concerts and is stopping music performances going forward. Bar regulars say that Road 34 has already torn down the stage lights and large speakers.
Road 34 has not released a public statement about why it will no longer have live music, and the website still reflects an event calendar with shows. In addition, the Road 34 Facebook wall shows concert announcements.
But the decision has certainly been made. The Denver band Wiredogs was one of several notified of the changes -- they posted an apology about the cancellation on their Facebook page:
Due to recent developments, Road 34 in Ft. Collins will no longer be a venue to see music, meaning our show on July 11th has been cancelled (along with all other shows they have on their calendar). Sorry to disappoint anybody planning on coming out.
Road 34 has been a valuable stepping stone for bands into the Northern Colorado music scene. Scott says she gained new fans during her show. She normally performs mainly at Hodi's Half Note (also in Fort Collins) and liked seeing the new faces at Road 34.
"I personally had no problems with the venue. The staff was great. They paid me right after the show," she explained. She and her band got free Coors Originals all night, which is coincidentally her favorite beer. "I just wasn't tipped off in any way."
Wiredogs was scheduled to play a show this week, on Friday, July 11. Just a week before, the venue canceled the show.Dan Aide, guitarist and singer for the band, says they heard of the cancellation from a band that was going to open for them, American Blackout; that band said it heard about the cancellation from Road 34's booking agent. Other artists found out via social-media posts like the one Wiredogs published. We've reached out to the venue itself and will update this post with more information as we get it.
