The Informants' latest album, Crime Scene Queen, won Best Self-Produced CD award in the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge over the weekend. The record, which was released in July, was up against albums from all over the world. This is a big deal in the blues world.

Crime Scene Queen, selected by the Colorado Blues Society to represent our state, bested other releases submitted from blues societies from around the world to win the prestigious award. And although the act has already garnered air play on House of Blues Radio and in countries like France, Italy and Spain, the act's stock continues to rise. Since winning the award just this past Saturday, the band has already been contacted by a number of other blues-centric radio shows across the globe.
