Scott Baxendale, a master luthier based in Denver, has crafted axes for Carl Perkins, Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp. He's also made a few guitars for his good buddies, the Drive-By Truckers, with whom he's also sat in with periodically, most recently, at the Bluebird last month. In this three-minute video, Bax makes a guitar for the Truckers' Mike Cooley using artwork by Wes Freed, who's painted quite a few Truckers album covers. Check it out after the jump. --Jon Solomon
