Yasiin Bey, formerly Mos Def, is returning to Denver on Friday, November 15, to headline another night at Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom, but this time with Justin Bua providing a lecture and some live painting. Returning as a part of the Winter Shredded Beats series, Cervantes' will open both sides of the venue to the event, and Denver locals the ReMINDers will sit in as direct support for the night. Bua is an award-winning artist whose work can be found on skateboard decks in the streets as well as video-game animations in your home, and his live painting and lecture will teach about street-art smarts and everything that resides within arm's reach of those topics. Tickets are $25 pre-sale/$30 early advance/$35 advance/$40 day of show. Doors open at 8 p.m., show starts at 9 p.m.

Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony will be appearing at Herman's Hideaway on August 2 with a stacked lineup of local talent including Fresh Breath Committee, Anxious, Jahni Denver and more. Tickets start at $20 and doors open at 7 p.m.

Thursday, September 5, will see the return of Sonic Bloom Music and Arts Festival favorite Opiuo with a lineup of special guests that are waiting to be announced. Tickets to the Aussie headlining show are $17 advance/$20 day of show, and like always at Cervantes, doors open at 8 p.m.

Friday, October 11, and Saturday, October 12, mark the now annual Sonic Blossom series of shows that go down at Cervantes, but this time with Random Rab, the Werks, Kayla Scintilla, Desert Dwellers, Bird of Prey and more to be announced. Two-days passes are on-sale now for $30, and the price steadily goes up to $45 the longer you wait. These events always bring a host of artists to show off, and they never disappoint.

Salt N Pepa returns to the mile high city at Cervantes' on Friday, October 18, for a solo headlining show. Early tickets are on-sale at the price of $35, and so far, that's the only price listed.
