Despite the weather, Chris Holston, general manager of Bacaro Venetian Taverna in Boulder, has decided to brave the elements and continue serving the specialty Bloody Marys introduced last weekend for a new rooftop brunch.
When we talked to Holson today, his attitude was quite positive -- despite the current lake count in Boulder. But the skies seem to be clearing, and after a couple of premium Bloody Marys, your head will, too.
The featured bar, located on Bacaro's rooftop patio, introduced five signature Bloodys last weekend: the East Coast Bloody Mary, the South Beach Bloody Mary, the Midwest Bloody Mary, the West Coast Bloody and, for all Buff fans, our Bloody Mother Buffer. But if none of those appeal to you, customers can also create their own Bloody concoction with their favorite vodka; their pick of a spicy, mild or green tomatillo mix; and then their choices from many garnishes and hot sauces.
Bacaro also has a big brunch menu, with pizza, various versions of eggs Benedict and assorted side items. And if you're not so into savory cocktails, Bacaro also offers bottomless mimosas made with fresh-squeezed orange juice.

Brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. As an added bonus, Bacaro is the only restaurant on Pearl Street with its own free parking garage for guests who make reservations, and you can ride the elevator from the parking garage right to the rooftop.
