The chefs, all of whom paired their sliders with a salad or side dish, were awarded votes in the form of poker chips tossed into plastic tins from both guests and their fellow chefs -- and there was plenty of spirited rivalry. When the flames finally subsided, Tyler Wiard and Aniedra Nichols, the kitchen duo from Elway's Cherry Creek, won the People's Choice award for their Korean-inspired sliders, while Troy Guard and his team from TAG, TAG Raw Bar and Tag Burger Bar strutted away with the Chef's Choice award.
The second-place winner in the People's Choice Category was Guard, and third place went to Steve's Snappin' Dogs, which made good use of its buns; the second place Chef's Choice winner was Max MacKissock of Squeaky Bean and third place went to Jennifer Jasinski of Rioja, Bistro Vendôme and Euclid Hall.
