Dunkin' Donuts opens today, Voodoo Doughnut tomorrow

Doughnuts are on a roll in metro Denver. Another Dunkin' Donuts location opened at 4:30 a.m. this morning at 8775 Washington Street in Thornton, reviving some of the fever that hit town when two DD stores debuted on the same day in August. But the temperature -- as well as the doughnuts -- will really rise tomorrow, when Voodoo Doughnut opens at 1510 East Colfax Avenue.

This is the first foray of the Portland, Oregon-based outfit outside of the Pacific Northwest, and Denverites are ready to welcome Voodoo Doughnut with open arms -- and mouths.

According to Voodoo's Facebook page, the spot has passed all inspections, and will open at 5 p.m. tomorrow -- with a grand opening celebration in mid-January. But in the meantime, though: Doughnuts!
