Wednesday, November 6: The Grand Vintners Dinner will showcase Parducci Wines and cuisine from the Meritage Restaurant. Cocktails start at 6 p.m., dinner is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $65 per person (plus tax and gratuity); call 303-464-3330 for reservations.
Thursday, November 7: Pairsine ("Pair-Zeen"), a special culinary competition, will feature ten of Colorado's top chef, along with special guest chef John Moeller, who cooked at the White House for thirteen years. From 6 to 9 p.m., the chefs will create culinary pairings to go with the two wines that won gold medals at the 2013 Denver International Wine Competition; judges include Westword Cafe Society editor Lori Midson. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased on the Denver winefest website. A keepsake wine glass made by Ridel/Spiegelau is included in the price; for an additional $35, you'll get a signed copy of Moeller's book, Dining at the White House.
Friday, November 8: The Grand Tasting runs from 4 to 9 p.m., and includes both wines and appetizers. Tickets for the tasting range from $95 to $210 ; find more information here.
Saturday, November 9: Christopher Davies, editor-in-chief of Wine Country International Magazine, will host a tour of three Front Range Colorado wineries and one distillery. The tour includes a winery lunch. Tickets are $150 and include round-trip transportation; buy tickets online.
Sunday, November 10: The Julia Child Tribute Champagne Luncheon will be hosted by Madeline de Jean, Champagne expert and longtime friend of Julia Child, former ambassador and director ofSales for Champagnes: Veuve Clicquot, Gosset, Laurent-Perrier, GH Mumm and Perrier-Jouet. The luncheon will feature Julia Child's All-American menu paired with selections from great Champagne houses around the world. Tickets start at $79, and a portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Julia Child Foundation. Buy them online here.
All events are at the the Omni Interlocken Resort; the tour will start and stop there. A portion of the festival proceeds will benefit Share Our Strength Colorado, a non-profit organization that helps to end childhood hunger in America through the No Kid Hungry campaign.
