Last week, Patty Calhoun admitted to waiting a whopping ninety minutes for brunch at Highland Tavern, which is just fifteen minutes shy of how long I waited in line for what amounted to twenty different dishes (!!!!!!!) at a San Francisco restaurant that, in my opinion, is quite possibly the best restaurant in that city. And among the dizzying number of plates that we tried was a sea urchin and ginger-scallion pancake that was so mind-blowing that I still can't stop thinking about it. Would I wait in line again to repeat the experience? Absolutely. Truth be told, I'd camp out in the doorway for hours just to eat here again, and I imagine the staff, who couldn't be more genuine, would feed me scraps if I scratched at the door.

Can you guess where I'm eating?

Special bonus: Anyone who gives the first correct answer to a Guess Where post is entered into a pool -- and every Monday, we select one lucky winner who'll receive an EatDenver dining deck, worth up to $520 in discounts at independent restaurants. Read all about EatDenver dining decks here.
