Two weeks after Union Station held its grand opening for the public, Cooper Lounge has hopped on board. The bar is on the mezzanine level of the station, which has gotten a stunning facelift, with restored windows and fixtures, some new fixtures, and three coats of white paint. The Cooper opened to the public at 4 p.m. today, after serving Crawford Hotel guests and a few private parties over the past few days.

The space, which has a sleek, long bar with seats facing 17th Street (and the Supermoon this past weekend), is decked out with comfortable sofas and lounging areas. The bar offerings are extensive; Stoic & Genuine will be stocking two carts with fresh seafood (including oysters and caviar) for those who need a snack.

For this first week, Cooper Lounge will continue to open at 4 p.m. and stay open until 11 p.m. After that, it will be open from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m., as a place where hotel guests can kick back during the day -- and revelers can kick up their (very high) heels during a fancy night on the town.

What are you waiting for? The Cooper is pouring now...
