Native Foods Cafe, the fast-casual meatless (read: vegan) joint that proffers soy- and wheat-based meat substitutes (tempeh and seitan, for example) in lieu of dead animals, boasts more than fourteen stores in California, Chicago, Portland and Boulder -- and now Denverites who embrace the ever-growing spread of the vegan movement will have the opportunity to digest the cafe's plant-based foodstuffs in Glendale's City Set.

The space -- a build-out -- will join Jax Fish House, Udi's Cafe Pizza and Bar, Cuba Cuba Sandwicheria, Big Smoke Burger and, soon, The Kitchen [Next Door], which, as we first reported in June, will likely open by the end of the year.

Native Foods, located at 680 South Colorado Boulevard, directly behind Udi's Cafe Pizza and Bar, is slated to unlock its doors in October, says Angela Meade, the general manager of the Culver City, California location. "It's the same exact restaurant, food and concept as all of the other locations, but the space will be a little different," she notes.

Even if you prefer beef to beets, you can certainly say this about the new crop of City Set restaurants: There's definitely something for everyone.
