Little Man Ice Cream is ready for winter with a rotating lineup of killer homemade soups, including chicken noodle, blonde French onion, chicken enchilada, broccoli and cauliflower cheddar, potato and leek, and Tejon chili; prices range from $3.50 for a cup to $4.75 for a bowl. And Little Man is also offering a hot-and-sweet deal: a cup of soup, a homemade cheddar biscuit and a small double chocolate cookie ice cream sandwich for $6.

And remember, for every scoop of ice cream purchased, Little Man matches it with a scoop of rice or beans to fight hunter in Africa, Peru, Cambodia and other other communities in need. Little Man's winter hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

And there's news from Little Man's neighbor, Linger. It's just introduced topless brunch, a scandalous steal featuring unlimited classic mimosas for $12 or Sangria mimosas for $14. Also on the line-up are Bloody Marys made with twenty ingredients and the Coconut Fizz; each cocktail is just $3 a pop. Beverage director Mike Henderson created the Coconut Fizz; it's a take on the New Orleans Ramos Gin Fizz made with a simple yet sinful mix of Monopolowa gin (gluten-free!), coconut milk, simple syrup and soda water.

The topless deal is offered from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and makes a perfect companion to such brunch dishes as Tokyo "White Castle" Sliders and Challah French Toast. Find both the brunch and cocktail menus on the Linger website.
