But before that happens, there's going to be a little party, and fifty lucky Westword readers will get free invites by answering a few simple questions.
Ready?
Here's how this thing is going to work: Every day, between now and Thursday, we'll post a question that, in some way, has something to do with Colorado ingredients and products -- things like beer, wine, produce, fruit, beef and whatever else we feel like lobbing into the pot.
The first ten people to sufficiently respond to our questions will receive one ticket each to the Harvest Week pre-party, which takes place on Sunday, August 15, at Balistreri Vineyards, 1946 East 66th Avenue. The soiree begins at 5 p.m., and if you score a ticket (you're allowed one guest, by the way), then you'll get to nosh on bites from some pretty awesome restaurants.
To wit: Root Down, Second Home - Kitchen and Bar, Jonesy's EatBar, Osteria Marco, Black Pearl, 1515 Restaurant, Table 6, Encore on Colfax, Steuben's, Vesta Dipping Grill, The Lobby and Solera.
And, of course, there's no such thing as a party without libations, so several local wineries, breweries and distilleries will be on hand to make sure you're sufficiently lubricated.
We'll post all the winners' names on Thursday with directions about how to claim your tickets.
Our first question asked you to name your favorite Colorado produce and tell us where you get it.
Question No. 2 asked about your favorite Colorado beers.
Now we want to know which Colorado wine is your favorite and why.
Ready, set, go!
