It's been less than two months since Andrew's on Lincoln closed its doors, but a new bar and grill is gearing up to fill its shoes in the next few weeks at 1111 Lincoln Street.

Stoney's Bar and Grill is slated to open the first week of August, says owner and namesake Stoney Jesseph. The new joint will be a sports bar but also aims to be a place "everyone from Colorado can relate to, if you're a native or just visiting," Jesseph claims.

The menu will be comprised of bar food with an attempt to source from Colorado whenever possible. "Our menu will consist of mainly sliders -- everything from Colorado beef and lamb to ahi to a couple of veggie sliders," says Jesseph, adding that they'll also be pouring Colorado suds exclusively.

Prior to opening, the space is getting a pretty extensive overhaul, which includes refacing the bar with barn wood from Gunnison and other recycled products from the state such as a gondola from Keystone that Jesseph says he hopes to be able to incorporate into a photo booth for patrons. But the most exciting addition to the space may be a skee-ball game.
