The Justice League of Street Food had a concept, and a party. All it needed was an oath -- which we were happy to provide via a contest, the winner of which gets to eat free at Saturday night's inaugural Justice League party.

And we've got to say, we were pretty impressed with the entries.

Many readers rose to the occasion to rewrite this Green Lantern oath:

In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, Beware my power, Green Lantern's light!

A winner had to be chosen, though, and after tallying the votes from a crack team of Café Society writers and the Justice League's Delores Tronco, we determined that the winner is Lori, who penned this oath:

In brightest day, in coolest night, no hungry patron shall escape our sight. We take to the streets to tempt your might, beware our power, Food Trucks UNITE!

Congratulations, Lori.

Thanks for all the submissions, and remember, the party starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 21 at the corner of 29th and Huron streets.
