Like bourbon? Then you'll love tonight's benefit event for KGNU, in the Crown Rock Room at the Boulder Outlook Hotel from 6 to 9 p.m. You'll learn about the history and origins of bourbon, how to choose a quality product, and what foods pair well with bourbon; there will also be bourbons to sample and brand representatives on hand to answer any questions you might have; appetizers prepared with bourbon (complete with recipes); acoustic music; author and food critic John Lendorff and a silent auction featuring fine bourbon and related items.

Admission is $20 for KGNU members and $25 for the general public; designated drivers get in for free, and discounted hotel rates are also available. Call 303-449-4885 or visit www.kgnu.org.
