Hoptree Double IPA Lone Tree Brewing Lone Tree Brewing, which just began bottling its beers earlier this year in 22-ounce bombers, has released its third packaged brew, Hoptree, a double IPA made with eleven different hop additions that give it a grassy, tangerine aroma. This 8 percent ABV beer joins Acres O' Green and Outta Range Pale Ale on liquor-store shelves. Estival Cream Stout Ska Brewing This is the fourth and final beer in Ska Brewing's series of four canned seasonal stouts, which began last fall. It is made with orange blossom honey and aged in oak with dried orange peels. The other three Ska stouts incorporated chile, mint and Malbec grape juice. West Portal Colorado Common Big Choice Brewing This is the second canned offering from Big Choice Brewing in Broomfield. It is available primarily in liquor stores in the northwest Denver suburbs. Homefront IPA Left Hand Brewing Brewed with orange zest and aged on maple Louisville Slugger bats, Homefront IPA is part of a collaborative effort between nine breweries around the country that each brewed and served the same recipe as a way to raise money and awareness for Operation Homefront, a national non-profit providing emergency assistance to military heroes and families. The beer was released at the brewery last weekend and should be available at select stores across the Front Range this week or next. Provincial Funkwerks This new summer seasonal should be hitting liquor stores now. The recipe is based on the German-style Berliner Weisse, a wheat beer brewed with lactobacillus to give it a sour flavor. Funkwerks raised the ABV to 5.6 percent, however, which is higher than a typical Berliner Weiss and added a Belgian twist with the yeast. Oatmeal Yeti Great Divide Brewing This brand-new Yeti from Great Divide is part of the brewery's highly acclaimed Yeti series of imperial stouts. It was brewed with a couple thousand pounds of oats per batch and raisins, as well as different malts in order to bring out some sweetness. Ghost Rider Pale Ale and Helios Hefeweizen Odyssey Beerwerks Odyssey, which just opened in May in Arvada, is already canning its first two beers, Ghost Rider Pale Ale and Helios Hefeweizen, into six-packs, which should be hitting liquor stores in the Arvada area this week. Engel Weisse Elevation Beer Company The latest beer from Elevation Beer Company will be a little different from its previous offerings in that it will be much lower in alcohol, probably somewhere around 4 percent ABV (despite what the above label says). The beer is a German-style Berliner Weisse that has been aged in American oak second-use whiskey barrels. Since the beer's flavors profile will be a delicate one, however, Elevation washed the barrels so that they'd impart more of the oak taste than the whiskey nuances. Thensaurum Avery Brewing This is the fourth special Barrel Series beer that Avery has released in the past few weeks with sales only -- or primarily -- at the brewery itself. This one, number 17, is a sour beer aged in rum barrels. No release date has been set. Pumpkick New Belgium Brewing Just kidding! I think. New Belgium has a tendency to release its seasonals a few weeks -- or even a few months -- before the season that the brewery is targeting. Uncle Jacob's Stout Avery Brewing This beer isn't new -- it was released in very limited quantities for the first time last year -- but it is special enough to deserve mention here.
