The Wazee Supper Club, which has been dishing up Denver-style pizza pies for almost forty years, is adding to, and revamping, its beer lineup to focus more on craft beer. "We used to have twenty taps. Now there are 32, and some of those original twenty taps have been replaced with more ambitious, flavorful beers," says Marty Jones, spokesman for the Wynkoop Brewing Company, which owns the Wazee.
Four of those beers are from the Wynkoop and three are from Breckenridge Brewing, which entered into a joint partnership with the Wynkoop late last year. But the rest are from respected, big-name brewers from Colorado and around the country, including Avery, Bristol, Great Divide, Ommegang, Sierra Nevada, Russian River, Ska, Mad River and New Belgium.
To celebrate, the Wazee will host a tap kickoff party from 5 to 8 p.m. on March 10, and is also hosting a series of meet-the-brewer nights through the month. The first will be on March 17 with, you guessed it, the Wynkoop brewers.
