Monday, September 22

The Seasoned Chef Cooking School will be offering the Cooking with Wine class tonight, part of the school's Marvelous Meals in Minutes series; you'll learn how to use wine in everyday cooking while making such dishes as Southwestern pork medallions with white wine and oven-roasted chicken thighs with marsala wine. Class begins at 6:30 p.m. and tuition is $70; learn more here.

Tuesday, September 23

The Chipotle Sustainable Food Film Series continues with a screening of the fim GMO OMG at the Denver Botanic Gardens at 6 p.m. Admission is $5, and includes food provided by Chipotle, the film screening and a panel discussion. Visit botanicgardens.org or call 720-865-3500 for more information.

Chef Patrik Landberg of Charcoal will be the guest chef at the Seasoned Chef Cooking School today, teaching students how to cook some of his favorite dishes. Class begins at 6 p.m. and costs $75; visit theseasonedchef.com.

EatDenver's Harvest week kicks off today with Grapes v. Grains: Duel in the West at 6 p.m. at the GrowHaus. The battle between beer and wine will feature six chefs cooking up a seven-course menu that challenges brewers and winemakers to create the perfect pairing. Participating restaurants include Lola Mexican Fish House, Wazee Supper Club, Lower48 Kitchen, Argyll Whisky Beer and Central Bistro & Bar. Tickets are $60; go to harvestweek.com.

Wednesday, September 24

Comida Cantina will host a tequila and mezcal dinner starting at 6 p.m. tonight. Tequila Ocho and Pierde Almas will be the guests of honor at this five-course dinner, where each course will be paired with a taste of the raw spirit and a cocktail featuring the spirit. Join Justin Cucci, chef/owner of Root Down and Linger, will share his culinary expertise at a cooking class hosted by Work Options for Women, and focusing on cooking with local ingredients. Class runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cafe Options; tickets are $75 and you can find them here.

EatDenver's Harvest Week continues with GrowLove: Buddha's Veggie Delight, a vegetarian feast that will highlight produce from the GrowHaus as nine chefs and cocktail artists create Asian-inspired cuisine and drinks. Participating restaurants include Colt & Gray, Ace, Steuben's, Euclid Hall, Coohills, Fuel Cafe, Vine Street Pub and Root Down. Th vent starts at 6 p.m. and tickets are $70; grab a seat here.

Firenze a Tavola will host a four-course wine dinner celebrating family history and one of Italy's most special culinary regions: Emilia Romagna. Reyka Vodka Cocktail Class will pour out knowledge at Bistro Vendôme; the free class is part of a special Taste of Iceland lineup that culminates with a free concert on Saturday. Space at the cocktail classes, which repeat Friday and Satday, are limited, so call 303-825-3232 to reserve a spot.

The Ignite Brewery Battle will pit Boulder Beer against Avery Brewing in a beer-tasting and paired burger battle. Guests at Ignite Burgers and Lounge tonight will vote on which beer and burger reign supreme, and the winning burger will be featured on the Ignite menu with the winning beer receiving a tap on the Ignite line for the next month. Ignite chef Jared Peterson will create the burgers, and the tasting will start at 6 p.m. Tickets are $35; visit ignite-denver.com for more info.

The Feast of The Hunters & Gatherers will fill GrowHaus starting at 6 p.m. this evening. For this installment in EatDenver's Harvest Week, seven chefs will "hunt and gather" their ingredients and then grill them up; the meal will be accompanied by local craft beer and spirits. Participating restaurants include Trillium, Panzano, Harman's Eat & Drink, Beatrice & Woodsley, The Fort, Zengo and Work & Class. Tickets are $85; hunt yours down here.

In tonight's Perpetual Pantry program and lecture at the Denver Botanic Gardens, guest Eugenia Bone will share her knowledge of food preservation and home canning. The evening, which begins at 6 p.m., will include a lecture, social hour and a tasting of locally sourced food hosted by Slow Food Denver. The Blind Café will return to Boulder to offer another otherworldly culinary and cultural event in the dark. Shine Restaurant and Gathering Place will host this unique dinner, with wine and dark chocolate followed by a vegetarian sensory tasting all in the dark. During Stir Cooking School's Cooking with Cast Iron Class, Stir's professional chefs will teach participants all about caring for cast iron and cooking such dishes as caramelized onion, Swiss chard and Gruyere frittata; pan-seared flank steak with cherry tomatoes, garlic and basil; crispy red potatoes with pancetta and green beans; chicken and vegetable pot pie with a buttermilk biscuit crust; and pineapple upside down cake. The class, which starts at 6:30 p.m., costs $69; register at stirtolearn.com.

Friday, September 26

For tonight's Harvest Week event, grab your dancing boots and bring your appetite to the GrowHaus from 7 to 11 p.m. for Footloose and Farm Fresh, a night of dancing and eating under the stars. A DJ will be spinning records and keeping the dance floor bumping all night with hits from the '70s and '80s. Participating restaurants include Pinche Taqueria, Jonesy's EatBar, Adelitas, Appaloosa Grill, Biker Jim's Gourmet Dogs, Ste. Ellie and P17. Tickets are $50; grab yours here.

Wazee Supper Club will be celebrating forty years in business with large Supreme pizzas all day for the throwback price of $19.74, along with $0.40 pints of Rail Yard Ale served in commemorative Wazee anniversary pint glasses to the first 100 guests starting at 6 p.m.

Taste of Vail will hold its first Farm-to-Table benefit dinner benefiting the Food Rescue Express program, and featuring foods sourced from the fields of Colorado farmers. It runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Express Lift in Mountain Plaza, adjacent to Gondola One at Vail. Tickets are $75; click here to purchase yours.
