Ian Clark, executive chef and brewmaster at BRU handbuilt ales and eats, is hosting an "Ode to Shellfish" beer dinner at 7 p.m. tonight. He'll prepare a four-course meal featuring oysters, shrimp and mussels; each dish will be paired with a variety of BRU's homemade beers. Tickets are $45; call 720-638-5193.

The Health & Wellness Center at the Anschutz Medical Campus has teamed up with chef Paolo Neville of Bistro Elaia on a series of free classes that demonstrate healthy cooking techniques and recipes. The lesson from 5:30 to 6 p.m. focuses on side dishes such as quinoa zucchini tarts and red lentil and sweet potato salad. Euclid Hall is featuring special beer flights every Tuesday in January from 3 p.m. until closing. Tonight's Badass tastings include three, two-ounce pours of Anchor OBA American Strong Ale, Dogfish Head Raison D'etre Belgian Strong Dark, and Ommegang Take the Black Stout. Each beer is paired with three bite-sized snacks for just $12.50 per person.
And Euclid's sister restaurant, Rioja, will host wine tastings on Tuesday in January from 5 p.m. until close. Tonight's theme is savory Sherries; the four samples are paired with four bite-sized snacks from the Rioja kitchen for only $15.
