Tosh's may be making a comeback: After surrendering his landmark restaurant in Five Points to a mountain of debt, Ruben Tracy Mackintosh has filed for a liquor license for Tosh's Cantina at 8101 East Belleview Avenue down in Marina Square.

For close to fifty years, the Mackintosh family ran Tosh's Hacienda, at 3090 Downing Street. But after taking out a city loan to fund an ambitious expansion plan, the family lost the restaurant altogether. (For more details on that, read "From Tosh's Hacienda to Kiva...")

Tosh's was replaced by the Kiva, which last month was replaced by Club Dynasty and Blackberries Bar & Grill. But maybe not for long. When our spy stopped in last Thursday, only the bar portion of the building (a former church) was open, and hers was the only party in the place.
