Talk about an ideal pairing: classic cars and beer from some of Colorado's best breweries. Making the match even better is the fact that tonight's Hops for Hopes at the Lemay Auto Museum (11100 West Eighth Avenue in Lakewood) benefits the SCI Recovery Project, which provides exercise-based recovery programs for people with spinal injuries.

Dr. Stephen Davies, a researcher at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine, will speak at the event, which will also feature a silent auction with such items as skis, mountain condo rentals, golf packages, sports memorabilia and more. And, of course, there's the collector car show, which you can enjoy while munching appetizers and swigging beer. Tickets are $50 and are available at www.scirecoveryproject.com.
