And on Sunday, EatDenver is rolling out the Big One -- namely The Big Eat, a carnival-themed culinary blowout at Union Station that will include four different bands, all of which have at least one member in the industry; face painters, clowns and jugglers; a pie-eating contest; carnival food (think duck-fat popcorn, grilled corn, pancake-wrapped corn dogs and cotton candy) and liquid assets from the best of the best.
Who's going to be there? 1515, Avenue Grill, Black Pearl, duo, El Camino, Encore, Euclid Hall, Green Russell, HBurger, Hideaway Steakhouse, Happy Cakes, Jonesy's, the Lobby, Lou's Food Bar, Marco's Coal-Fired Pizzeria, Olivéa, Rialto Cafe, Root Down, Snooze, Steuben's, Steve's Snappin' Dogs, Vesta and Wednesday's Pie, along with beers from Great Divide and Wynkoop Brewing, and local libations from CapRock, Downslope, Leopold Brothers and Peach Street Distillers.
The al fresco soiree, which runs from 2 to 6 p.m., is completely sold out, but we've got a pair of tickets to give away to one Cafe Society reader who can tell us in twenty words or less why he or she should be the one to clown around.
Post your submissions in the comments section below (bonus points for witty, pithy comments), and be sure to give us a valid e-mail address, so we can reach you if you win.
We'll announce the winner on Friday before 6 p.m.
